Perfect for solar observing. Unfortunately there where some fog clouds, but that wasn't a great problem... Sunspot 1302 was clearly visible on the North Western limb. What a great sunspot! There actually where 4 groups visible on sunspot 1302. On the edge of the biggest group of the three, there was a fine filament visible as an thick black line crossing from north to west. On the North Eastern and South Eastern limb, there where 3 big prominences visible, all three identified as Jets. Later on, the jet on the South Eastern limb transformed in an nice loop. On the North western limb there was an subtle prominence visible identified as an Mound. (I'll hope I have my orientation right) ;-) In the middle of the sun there was a nice sunspot visible identified as spot 1301. Some nice filaments where surrounding the spot. G = 7 S = 11 UT: 08:15 hr Sketch will follow.

One spray and some mounds. The sun was full of sunspots to. In my first opinion there where 5 groups and an total of 13 sunspots within these groups. There where lots of filaments to see around the spots and some active regions. In the "middle" (North) of the sun, there was a fine black stripe not far from sunspot 1292. The black stripe was an nice filament in an active region.
